About us
TRUMPF is the technology and market leader in machine tools for flexible sheet metal processing and in industrial lasers. With around 18,400 employees, TRUMPF generated sales of around €5.4 billion in fiscal year 2022/23.
Machine tools for sheet metal and tube processing form the core business. The product portfolio includes machines for bending, punching, combined punch and laser processing, laser cutting, and laser welding applications. Diverse automation solutions and a broad range of software round off the portfolio.
In the laser technology business division, TRUMPF offers CO2 lasers, disk and fiber lasers, diode direct lasers, ultrashort pulse lasers and marking lasers. Laser systems for cutting, welding and surface processing of three-dimensional parts are also part of the product range, as are high-performance laser systems in the extreme ultraviolet light range for the production of microchips. For metallic 3D printing, TRUMPF is ideally positioned with expertise in mechanical engineering and laser technology.

Additive Manufacturing in Medical Technology: TruPrint 2000
Additive manufacturing can be used to manufacture, coat or repair components with extremely high material requirements. Individualized series production of high-quality implants is a main application area for additive manufacturing in medical technology.
With metal 3D printing systems individualised medical devices with different geometries, dimensions and alloys can be produced quickly and easily. The TruPrint 2000 is an ideal machine for applications in the medical industry. With a build volume of 200 x 200 mm footprint and a height of 200 mm, it offers ideal possibilites and delivers high-quality and highly productive 3D printing results.
Laser marking: TruMark Station 7000 with TruMicro Mark 1020
Laser markings are used in many different areas and for different materials: engraving metal, applying UDI-compliant laser markings to reusable surgical instruments or marking cathether components.
The TruMark Station 7000 offers plenty of space for your workpieces and devices with its large interior dimensions. The TruMicro Mark 1020 with its ultrashort laser pulses is the ideal partner for applying high-quality UDI codes also on complex three-dimensional shapes and free form. Medical parts can be marked, engraved and processed in full 3D with the new ultrafast laser TruMicro Mark 1020. Extremely short laser pulses ensure a matt surface structure, which reduces light reflection and creates a deep black marking that is easily recognizable from every angle. This makes it legible even under difficult lighting conditions in an operating room.
The TruMicro Mark 1020 is available as an OEM version and as a fully integrated and turnkey complete system in a TruMark station.
Laser welding: TruLaser Station 7000 with TruFiber 2000 P
Precision is nowhere more important as in medical technology. The TruLaser Station 7000 is a compact and fully equipped, low-investment 3D laser welding system in the TRUMPF portfolio for processing medical devices. The TruFiber 2000 P enables production of high quality, reproducible weld seams without post-processing. It is the right laser for fine cuttig and fine welding applications.
Laser marking: TruMark Station 7000 with TruMicro Mark 2030
Laser markings are used in many different areas and for different materials: engraving metal, applying UDI-compliant laser markings to reusable surgical instruments or marking cathether components.
The TruMark Station 7000 offers plenty of space for your workpieces and devices with its large interior dimensions. The marking laser TruMicro Mark 2030 is a great choice for marking medical devices. It caters to a wide variety of applications:
UDI-compliant marking in plain-text format and as a machine readable bar code or Data Matrix Code to ensure traceability
Micromarking in the hundredth of a millimeter range
Microprocessing for structuring, cutting and drilling
Corrosion resistance is an essential attribute for implants and surgical instruments. Black marking offers an excellent way to achieve this.
The TruMicro Mark 2000 is available in a TruMark Station and as an OEM solution that includes the laser, scanner, cooling system and software, as well as the option of image processing.
Short and ultrashort pulse lasers: TruPuls nano
Our pulsed TRUMPF TruPulse nano fiber lasers with GTWave and PulseTune technology are some of the most versatile industrial lasers in the TRUMPF portfolio. These lasers operate within the nanosecond pulse duration range and are used in a multitude of industrial applications.
