Complete cementing technique solutions for orthopaedics and trauma surgery, including pulse lavage systems such as NEPTUNUS eMotion and LOSCH Lavage, cement restrictors, bone cement, vacuum mixing and application systems.

The NEPTUN product line covers the complete cementing workflow in the OR, from implant site preparation to cement application. In addition to product solutions, LOSCH Medical supports healthcare professionals through practical workshops, clinical exchange and application-oriented training concepts for everyday OR use.

NEPTUNUS eMotion Pulse Lavage System

NEPTUNUS eMotion is a high-performance, mains-powered pulse lavage system for intraoperative bone cleaning in cemented orthopaedic and trauma surgery procedures. The system is designed for implant site preparation during cemented endoprosthetic procedures and combines reusable system components with single-use irrigation kits.

The resterilizable handpiece is manufactured from solid aluminium and connected via a waterproof 12V cable system (IP58). Two selectable power levels allow controlled irrigation depending on the surgical situation and bone structure. Different irrigation attachments support both large-area cleaning and access to hard-to-reach anatomical areas. An adjustable splash guard with integrated stop function supports controlled handling during use.

The system concept is designed to reduce disposable components compared to fully single-use systems while taking into account practical requirements in the OR, including workflow integration, hygiene and reprocessing. Reliable suction performance, low-noise operation and durable system components support everyday clinical use.

NEPTUN Mix – Bone Cement Mixing Solutions

NEPTUN Mix Vacuum Mixing Systems

NEPTUN Mix refers to vacuum mixing systems for the preparation and application of bone cement in cemented orthopaedic and trauma surgery procedures. The product range includes both a bowl and a cartridge system, designed to meet different requirements in the OR while supporting homogeneous cement mixing and reproducible results.

The NEPTUN Mix Bowl is suitable for primary procedures as well as revision surgery. The system enables vacuum mixing of bone cement and supports the preparation of cement spacers and cement application in the acetabulum. A rotating-axis mechanism is designed to achieve uniform mixing with low porosity and high homogeneity. Ergonomically designed instruments support handling and material removal during surgical use.

The NEPTUN Mix Cartridge is a compact vacuum mixing and application system designed for standardised workflows. A transparent cartridge allows visual monitoring of the mixing process and connects directly to the application gun. The system includes coordinated application components and is designed for controlled handling and reproducible cement preparation in the OR.

Both systems operate under vacuum using a coordinated accessory system including vacuum pump, tubing, manometer and activated carbon filter. The systems are developed for everyday clinical use and are used in close collaboration with healthcare professionals in orthopaedics and trauma surgery.

NEPTUN Fix

NEPTUN Fix G40-HV is a high-viscosity, antibiotic-loaded bone cement for cemented endoprosthetic procedures in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. Developed for everyday surgical use, the cement is designed to support reliable handling characteristics and secure implant fixation during cemented procedures. The added gentamicin is intended to reduce the risk of bacterial colonisation in the area surrounding the prosthesis, particularly during the early postoperative phase.

The high-viscosity formulation supports controlled application and dimensional stability during processing, including in complex defects and revision procedures. NEPTUN Fix G40-HV is suitable for manual preparation as well as vacuum mixing systems and is designed for reproducible handling under everyday OR conditions.

NEPTUN Plug

NEPTUN Plug Cement Restrictor

NEPTUN Plug is a resorbable cement restrictor for use in the medullary canal during cemented endoprosthetic procedures in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. The restrictor is designed to support targeted intramedullary pressurization and controlled cement distribution while preventing uncontrolled distal migration of bone cement.

The restrictor is manufactured from an elastic, gelatin-based biomaterial and dissolves completely at body temperature within a few days without leaving residues. Different diameters from 8 to 18 mm allow adaptation to individual anatomical requirements and support reproducible cementing procedures in everyday clinical use.

The corresponding insertion instrument enables depth-controlled placement of the restrictor within the medullary canal. Trial olives support precise sizing and allow straightforward integration into existing surgical workflows with minimal instrumentation.

LOSCH Lavage

LOSCH Lavage Systems

The LOSCH Lavage systems are available in both battery-driven and electric versions for intraoperative bone and wound irrigation in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. As sterile single-use pulse lavage systems, they are designed for immediate use in the OR without reprocessing.

LOSCH Lavage Battery-Driven

The LOSCH Lavage battery-driven system is a sterile single-use pulse lavage system for intraoperative bone and wound irrigation in cemented orthopaedic and trauma surgery procedures. Designed for immediate use in the OR without reprocessing, the system supports implant site preparation during cemented endoprosthetic procedures.

The system includes a handpiece, hip and knee nozzles as well as inflow and suction tubing. Additional accessories such as sterile femoral brushes are available for specific clinical requirements. The compact single-use design supports flexible handling and straightforward integration into everyday surgical workflows.

LOSCH Lavage Electric Version

The LOSCH Lavage electric version is a sterile single-use pulse lavage system for intraoperative bone and wound irrigation in orthopaedics and trauma surgery. The system operates via an external power supply unit and supports controlled irrigation during implant site preparation in cemented endoprosthetic procedures.

The system includes a handpiece, connection cable, hip and knee nozzles as well as inflow and suction tubing. Additional accessories such as extra-large irrigation nozzles and femoral brushes are available for different anatomical and surgical requirements. As part of the LOSCH Medical cementing technology portfolio, the system complements reusable solutions such as NEPTUNUS eMotion.
